Detail
A desi egg (also known as a country egg or native egg) is an egg laid by free-range, indigenous Indian breeds of hens rather than commercial broiler or layer hens. The hens roam freely in natural or open-farm environments rather than being confined to battery cages. They are typically raised without routine artificial hormones, synthetic growth promoters, or antibiotics. In traditional Indian households, they are often preferred during winter or for growing children as they are believed to provide better warmth, energy, and nourishment.
